Do I have a new child?

So over the past few weeks I have noticed that Reed is changing.  NO major fits.  He is doing as told.  Using his manners, etc.  So pleased.  He is about to turn 4.  If this is what the age of 4 is I am gonna love it!  For example.  We went to grapevine mills mall on Sunday to get out of the house for a little bit.

I took back some items and got a few new items for the winter.  They have a ton of great stores there!  I will be back soon. Let me start by saying I am not a fan of shopping with small children. We walked by many toddler toy stores and gadgets for them to ride on.  Candy stores galore!

They did not say a peep.  NOT ONE, I want some of this or that!  No meltdowns.  I couldn't believe myeyes.  I try very hard not to allow them candy at the checkout or to buy something everytime we go to the store.  It has payed off and it was pure BLISS.  They behaved very well.  I will give myself a pat on the back.  I truly believe it's because we don't buy them things just because we are at a store like many parents do. 

I can't take my stepkids (12 yrs going on 13) into a store without an argument over what we need to buy them.  It might be a $40 video game or junk food.  It's always a battle.

So cheers to kids who can walk into a store and out with nothing and no fits!
