Health Issues

At our last pedi visit our Dr. got to listen better to Reagan's heart mumur.  She had been hearing it for a while but had a really hard time.  After this visit she recommended we take her to the pedi cardiologist to check it out.  She didn't think it was anything to be too concerned about but just wanted a second opinion.

Yesterday was her cardiologist visit.  I have not really given it too much thought.  The pediatrician was not too concerned so neither was I.  Danny took her since I couldn't get off work @ 1:30.  Right about then is when I looked at the clock and my heart started RACING.  I began to check my phone constantly but couldn't take calls because I was in the middle of a case.  Not long after Danny sends a text that it is VSD.  Ventricular septal defect.  I started asking the anesthesiogist questions about this when someone came to relieve me to leave for the day.  I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THERE FAST ENOUGH.  I called Danny immediately.  It's a pretty common condition and will most likely close on it's own.  We don't need to do a thing and he will see her in a yr.  He said it was very small and shouldn't be a problem.  RELIEF, Right?

Once I got in my car I just started bawling my eyes out.  Not sure why?  Maybe all the health issues we have had lately just took it's toll.  Seems it's been one after another.  The anxiety these issues cause is exhausting.
Anyway, all is good.

Now if we could just get her ears to STOP draining puss.  That would make my day :)
