Friday got started off by Daycare and my husband calling that Reed is sick with a fever. So Danny goes to get him and takes him to the doc. Flu and Strep positive! YAY. Gonna be a fun weekend. :( Started Tamiflu and amoxicillin that night, ASAP. He fell asleep on the couch and I just decided to leave him there. Thinking it would easier for me to check on him during the night. Well about 1 am he wakes me wanting to clawl into bed with us. I checked his temp at this time! NOTHING. Again at 4 am. NO TEMP. Next morning. Happy little boy who is feeling much better. Sunday, he is back to himself and fiesty as ever. Guess we got it just in time! I am just praying it doesn't spread to the rest of the family.
Feb 12th was Danny's dad's b-day and Danny's is Feb 14 th so we had his dads side of the family over for hamburgers and hotdogs. The weather was perfect, just a little windy. I enjoyed it sooo much. I really do wish we had more family get-togethers. I really love it when people come over and hang out!
I am beginning to feel a little sickly come Sunday. Probably allergy related but by sunday night I am really feeling down in the dumps, which carries over till Monday (today). I just really want to crawl in bed. It's Valentines and my hubby's birthday so I guess I have to act interested. HAHA
I have this OCD thing in the workplace that I wish I could carry over to the home life. Example: The room I work most often in I keep the cabinets stocked with supplies most of the time. So I try to organize from the beginning of the procedure till the end (IN THAT ORDER). So you have preps at the the beginning then drapes/gowns/gloves. Next you will find all your intraop supplies bovie/suction/sponges/syringes etc, finally you will find all your dressing supplies. Ace wraps/cast padding etc. Bovie supplies all together. all suction supplies together etc, not marking pens stashed with the ace wraps. That makes sense to me! Right? You know right where to look depending on what part of the case you are in. I guess I do this at work and not at home because it makes my JOB easier. Work smart not hard! Right. And you have a patient on the table depending on you to make sure the job is done the best and most efficient way. I am by no means a slob at home but sometimes I could have it all together better. Life has just gotten ahead of me. It would make my life and kids lives better if I focused on being this OCD @ home or it could drive us to the brink of insanity! OH, I am almost there anyway. :)
