The Blanton Bunch

We have been bitten by the sick bug. It all started with Reeds ear infection and bronchitis. Then he came down with the stomach bug which he passed on to the entire family within hours! What do you do when not one person can pick themselves up because they are so weak and your baby wakes in the middle of the night? This is what was going through my head at midnight after we had all been stricken with the deadly bug! calling 911 seemed like the most logical answer for a little iv fluid and nausea medicine. Thank goodness for sleeping babies!!!! We all finally recovered except for Reed who has decided to keep his ear infection. We are currently on our 2nd round of antibiotics for his left ear. I have a horrible sinus infection which i have been treating with a z-pack and finally resorted to a steroid shot! I am not sure it helped that much, maybe a little. Pounding head, pain in my jaw, can't breath, etc u know what i mean. I am still wondering when it will be over. With all this we packed up made our trip to the state fair. I had never been before. I think I expected something greater than it was. Reed enjoyed people watching and the petting zoo. The petting zoo was the big HIT! The kids didn't want to ride anything, so they played a few games. We tried the chicken fried bacon which was okay. It was really too hot for fried food! We think we should have stuck with a plain old fried twinkie. I think I would rather battle the crowd at six flags than go to the state fair again. But i guess you have to go for memories and experience. I can say mine is satisfied. Reeds birthday is coming up fast. Hope to see everyone there. He will be walking any day. We make a little more progress daily! We have a ton of video. I have good intentions of learning to put them on dvd and post a few on the site. Reed is all over the place and it will probably take a little time. Wish me luck.
