6 month checkup

Today we went to see Dr. Sampson for our 6 month checkup. We got four shots today but it was the last of 2 series. Reed weighs 19 lbs and is 30 inches long. He is in the 120th percentile for height (off the charts) 90 th percentile for head circumference and 75 percentile for weight! She recommended we get a new carseat due to his height! Since our last visit we were to start rice cereal. We have been trying it occasionally. Today she wants us to start cutting back on formula and supplementing with cereal and 1st foods. He has had a few bouts with constipation so she said use oatmeal cereal. No carrots/bananas until that gets better. He can have baby juices. She also said to start giving him a sippy cup and let him play with it. He will start getting a few teeth real soon she thinks. Also we need to start baby proofing asap!!! So today when we got home we tried some applesauce. Talk about messy! Tomorrow we are going to see Dr. Loudermilk about his tied tongue. That may get clipped. They can do it in the office before he gets teeth. If we wait he will need to go under anesthesia. Don't want that if we can keep from it. There ya have it. That's all for now.
